Kenneth Sawyer Goodman, Playwright

Introduction

Two Short Plays by Kenneth Sawyer Goodman celebrates one of Chicago's historic theater patrons -- and the man for whom the famous Goodman Theatre was named -- with this collection of two one-act plays written by Goodman.

Digital Chicago presents a digital edition of Two Short Plays by Kenneth Sawyer Goodman, featuring newly commissioned illustrations drawn by talented college art students, Jaime Dear and Emily Murman. This edition is also available in print from Lake Forest College Press

In addition, we present a newly illustrated dramatic version of "The Wonder Hat," as recorded in a 1952 radio drama performed by students associated with the Goodman Memorial Theatre. Jaime Dear's original color illustrations, captured on a Wacom drawing tablet, delightfully bring the spoken words to life.
